Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal on Wednesday reviewed the Karkardooma Integrated Development of the East Delhi Hub, Delhi’s first Transit Focused Development (TOD) project, and asked Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and project consultant NBCC India to speed up implementation. of the project.
Baijal said members will meet fortnightly to resolve outstanding issues in order to complete the project smoothly and on time.
Delhi LG tweeted: “After a detailed review, DDA and NBCC officials were urged to speed up the implementation of the project through transparent coordination and follow-up with agencies such as the Delhi Jal Board, BSES, forestry and fire services to obtain the necessary permits. It was decided to meet every fortnight to resolve outstanding inter-agency issues for a smooth and rapid implementation of the project on time.

DDA officials said the mixed-use development project will include office complexes within walking distance and will be connected to the Karkardooma metro station, which is an interchange between the blue line (Vaishali in Dwarka) and the line. rose (Shiv Vihar at Majlis park). It will also house one of the largest residential complexes in the densely populated East Delhi with 6,518 apartments, of which 1,992 is the economically weaker part.
