Iran calls for close cooperation between ECO and SCO

In a speech at a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Ashgabat, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari stressed the importance of multilateralism in addressing challenges. regional and international challenges through a common understanding and esprit de corps.

He referred to the accession of Iran and most CEE member states to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, calling on the two organizations to work closely together to further strengthen regional cooperation.
Safari then referred to an assessment report on a document outlining the CEO’s outlook, expressing support for the proposals put forward.
He also called on all member states to unite their efforts to help achieve the goals of the organization.
The return of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan is essential to promote peace and well-being in the Caucasus region, noted the Iranian deputy minister.
As for Afghanistan, he called for helping the Afghan people achieve peace and well-being through the CEO support program.
