Skanska: builds a school in Malmö, Sweden, for around SEK 400M
Skanska signed a contract with Stadsfastigheter in Malmö to build a new upper secondary school in Malmö,
The new school will have four floors and a total area of nearly 15,000 square meters. The new building includes school premises, a canteen and a café. The upper secondary school will be the first in many years to be built in the city and will be able to accommodate 1,200 students.
Skanska and Stadsfastigheter i Malmö collaborated early on and studied functions and elements, from town planning and design issues to specific functions. Thus, environmental aspects, aesthetics and functional requirements have been clarified and cost effective solutions developed without sacrificing high quality.
