Milbank and White & Case have assumed key roles advising the € 1.3 billion IPO of Swedish investment firm Storskogen Group and the listing of its shares on the Nasdaq stock exchange in Stockholm.

It is the largest listing to have taken place on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2021 to date, according to Milbank. The shares began trading on October 6.

Milbank’s team advising the Swedish investment firm on US law was led by capital markets partner David Dixter and included capital markets partner Maria C. Schweinberger, global corporate partner Sarah Ullathorne – all based in London – and New York-based tax partner Andrew Walker, according to the company’s statement.

The Storskogen group was also advised by the Swedish business law firm Gernandt & Danielsson Advokatbyrå KB on Swedish law.

The team is led by partner Carl Westerberg and includes senior partners Gabriel Zsiga, Erika Olofsson and Ludvig Berglönn, as well as partners Josefine Jonsson Tepavac, Viktor Borg and Joel Ståhl, the firm said in a statement.

Storskogen confirmed that the underwriters of the deal – which include Carnegie Investment Bank AB, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE and JP Morgan AG, as well as numerous other banks – were advised by White & Case on Swedish and US law.

White & Case will field a team led by Stockholm-based partner Johan Thiman and Helsinki-based Mikko Hulkko. It includes partners Thomas Killeen, based in Helsinki, and Christoffer Nilmén and Izabella Barisa, both based in Stockholm.

The Storskogen group specializes in the acquisition and development of small and medium-sized enterprises active in industry, commerce and services in the Nordic countries, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom

The news comes at a busy time for Swedish capital markets, where earlier in October Swedish firm Mannheimer Swartling took the helm of Volvo Cars’ $ 2.9 billion IPO on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. . So far, the year has also seen caller ID service Truecaller and auto glass company Cary Group Holding announcing their own listings.
